Living Victorious

A few years ago, a young lady was asked the question "what would you do if you knew you only had a day to live". She chuckled and said 'the fright alone would kill me'. A few years later, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Upon her diagnosis, she was in disbelief. She had never thought such a fate would befall her. In the early months of her illness she would usually worry and cry perpetually over her current state. Her family surrounded her with love and compassion as best they could. It was in those times that she entrusted The Lord to take her out of her dilemma a victor. She prayed and fasted for a miracle from God. This usually worrisome young lady had suddenly had a burst of courage and decided not to be a victim of her circumstance. She purposed in her heart that whatever her lot, she would continue  to live victorious through God. God had proved to her that she can be a victor and not a victim of her disease. He had changed her perspective on life and had diminished all worrying and crying from her life and replaced them with strength and faith.

 We will never know how strong we are until being strong is the only thing left for us to do .

It is the devils plan to use circumstances to trap is in thinking that God doesn't love us or that he won't take us out of our dilemma. He wants us to live a defeated life. If he could only get us to feel like a failure, like life isn't worth living or that nobody cares for us then he would be contented. But that is just an accusation. God will never leave or forsake his people. What we go through is for our growth. We may not see the purpose for it now but we will reap the results later. It is said that God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers and if God has brought us to it, he will bring us through it. No experience is ever wasted. Every tear, every pain, every heartbreak, every giant in our life is a lesson for us to surpass and grow from. A diamond doesn't shine unless it has been taken from the rough and smoothed down to portray its true beauty  and so it is in contrast to what we go through in life.

I have found that in life God uses certain situations to bring us to him. In this instance, a young lady was involved in a car accident and died instantly upon impact. Regrettably she had  not known The Lord as her savior but her death was a wake up call to her fellow friend who was previously indecisive about becoming a Christian. The young lady's death became a driving force behind her friends drastic life-changing decision. Surely we may not understand all that God does, for the bible states that his ways are not our ways nor his thoughts our thoughts. Hence we need not lean to our own understanding but to trust him in all our ways. 

WHY ME?

Say it with me: “If GOD brings me to it he will bring me through it.”

It is okay to cry but never stay down or pity yourself. You serve not a God who cannot be touched with the feelings of your infirmities. Every tear, every heartbreak, every struggle, every mess has a lesson. You decide whether you allow it to make or break you. You may not understand why God has permit some things to happen but I promise you that he is still in control. He knows just what he is doing. Do not try to fathom his ways or thoughts. The bible says that his ways and thoughts are higher than ours. In my circumstances I have learnt to shake off what is presented before me and focus on who is in control. He sees and knows everything that is taking place in my life and if I am faced with a battle then he certainly knows the purpose of it. 

I have learnt that my circumstances should never be an hinderance to the praise God deserves whether I'm faced with adversity or not. God is still God on my good days as well as my bad days. 

God sees, knows and understand our pain as he was tempted in all ways like we are. All he desires is that we entrust him with our lives and he will take care of the rest according to his perfect will. Praise your way until the very end of your valley.
